HAPPY NEW YEAR from “Room 24”

HAPPY NEW YEAR from “Room 24”

Happy New Year!  What an awesome time we had at our last 24 hour prayer event in our home on New Year’s 2015/2016.  When Elias & I were first saved we were attending a church in Staten Island and living in New Jersey.  We would commute 2 hrs, to go to church!  We celebrated New Year’s with that church the first year!  It was wonderful.  Right before the New Year was about to come, they began to light candles from one part of the sanctuary and throughout the church.  We were sitting on the balcony.  When the last candle was lit, we worshipped into the New Year.  I always wanted to attend a service like that again.  We have had many wonderful New Year Celebrations since that evening in 1981.  But, this year, we brought in the New Year with a candlelight service in our home and incredible worship!  What an amazing night.  Jesus is so faithful to us at these prayer events.  This year was special as we wanted to do “Room 24” once a month for 2015, no matter the schedule.  We decided if we did not have an event scheduled, we would simply do it at our home.  We learned to appreciate these home prayers as it was a very intimate setting.  As the holiday approached, we scheduled a home event for December.  I had some challenges with an ear infection right after Thanksgiving.  I lifted a lot of prayers, “Lord, give me ears to hear”!  Well, we ended up having to postpone the December event and even cancel our travel plans for Christmas, but Elias, in His wisdom, insisted on the December date and we made it for New Year’s Eve.  Blessings flowed...

We are so grateful to the Lord and his people who he brought from all over our city.  More and more, we are soothed to find so many intercessors pressing in with us.  We had a little dog with us named “Diamond”, who we were convinced was singing with us at times.  I thought about the Lord’s own “Diamonds”, the people of God in our living room!  We had worship and celebration and so much food.  Appetizers that were more like dinner, breakfast, lunch, ciders and so much more.  Jesus likes to celebrate!  We prayed in English, Spanish, Arabic, Czechoslovakian and all the languages the Lord gave us.  We prayed through the Names of the Father and when we came to “Jehovah Rapha”, we had a tremendous time of healing and testimony.

As we started our New Year’s Eve, we had a time of repentance.  We were led to pray through the 10 Commandments.  God had been speaking to me the whole week prior about revivals, past and present.  In all accounts, people were drawn to a righteousness before God, a desire to get their heart straight and please Him in every way.  We always start with repentance, but this night, we lingered.  My heart was to get us ready for the Great Revival.  There have been many prophetic words that in the Last Days, God would again pour out His Spirit on the church and there is to be a mighty revival in America.  In the summer when we went to Nashville, we were so pleased to listen to Reinhard Bonnke sharing that the Lord had sent him to the US because there was going to be “Revival in America”.  We pulled up stories of revivals in Azuza St and the Wesleyan revivals and others in between.  I read quotes from these.  Our intention was to share that hunger for revival so we could pray it in.  We know that this is the Shemita Year.  It’s come up recently in a lot of Old Testament based prophecy and Messianic literature, including the Blood Moons and other events.  It is the sabbath year of sabbath years if you will:

--The sabbath year also called the sabbatical year of sheviit is the seventh year of the seven-year agricultural cycle mandated by the Torah for the Land of Israel.

Or another:
--Seven times seven equals 49, which makes a Shemitah of Shemitahs.  (7 x 7 = 49 years) 2014-2015 is the 49th Shemitah Year

During this time, the biblical practice was to return everyone to their inheritance, regardless of what had been bought or sold, etc.  Inherited lands were returned to the originally named owners.  Modern prophecy says there will be cancellation of debt and moving of accounts and other funds.  A return of our inheritance if it has been lost in our battles with the enemy.  This is a great privilege but I thought about the importance of this current Shemita, and what inheritance is due to Jesus Himself.  Our Lord’s inheritance is souls!

Romans 14:11
It is written:  “As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.”

Psalm 96:3
Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.

Psalm 113:4
All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name.

I thought we should pray in souls as the Lord’s inheritance for 2016.  Pray in the promised “Great Revival”.  Pray, to call in the Greatest of all Revivals and reach souls for the Lord.   And we did and it was powerful!.

The day went on with many glorious events.  The day concluded and we relaxed at home.  I fell asleep early and woke early.  Awake in the early am, I got up to get some water and took a look at facebook.  There was an entry there from Lou Engles that grabbed my attention.  We hosted many video feeds of his prayer sessions doing “The Call” for so many years!  I hadn’t been following him recently.  His word was regarding those revivals of the past and how the Lord had put on his heart to prepare for a stadium event in Los Angles in April and was asking for prayer for 100 days from New Year until the event, to call in our inheritance and bring revival to America.  He specifically mentioned that this is the 110 year anniversary of the Azuza Street Revival.  The event will coincide with the anniversary.   Really, I’m breathless!  So grateful to be alive in these days, and basking in His River of Life.  I said “Elias, we are going to LA in April!”.  He said, “I know”...  ;)  Happy New Year from “Room 24”, only a small, humble part of the Great Arm of God!
