November 2015

We had a wonderful time of prayer last weekend.  God is so good!  Friday night and Saturday, worship was so refreshing and our prayer times were intimate.  Our communion was so sweet.  His Presence has softened our hearts in a new measure.

We are so blessed by those who have made "Room 24" a regular commitment.  Our numbers are growing along with our joy and koinonia!  The first time we heard that word was when our children were attending a Lutheran elementary school and that had a weekend camping trip that they called "Koinonia" every year.  The meaning of this word is rich and is a regular experience for us at "Room 24" these days.

Koinoinia definition:
Koinonia {coy NO nyah) is a transliterated form of the Greek word, κοινωνία, which means communion, joint participation; the share which one has in anything, participation, a gift jointly contributed, a collection, a contribution, etc. It identifies the idealized state of fellowship and unity that should exist within the Christian church, the Body of Christ.

Hallelujah for that definition.  We believe it is what we are all feeling during these prayer times.  We are so grateful for each and every participant.  We are blessed to bring in new people every time.  Each one has a story, a journey that they are on, but somehow, the topic we are covering, the prayer direction we are following, is a perfect match for their situation.    God gives to us and uses us in a melodic rhythm.  He puts people together and meets needs and we watch and enjoy.  We are overwhelmed with His Love.

It is so important in our day to bring His Peace!  Our world is hurting and we know the answer!  We would encourage you to take up your cross and follow Him.  (Matt 16:24).  It's not a hard walk.  Jesus carried His cross to the crucifixion.  We simply have to identify with the cross.  He did it all for us.  But letting that cross be visible is important.  We are safe houses, walking about in a portable temple and carrying the living God.  We are seeing that the more open we are to His expression through us, the easier it is to meet the need.  Acts 3:6 says it, "I do not have, but what I have, I give".  It's all Jesus, Yeshua!

Our December "Room 24" will be in our home on Dec 11 & 12.  You are so welcome to join us!
Love in Christ,

Elias & Ann
